CloakIt lets you import PDFs/images, apply redactions (black bars, pixelate), and export results. Text recognition (OCR) runs on device whenever possible. We do not sell your data.

Data we process

• Images and PDFs: files you import to redact; processed locally and shared only if you choose.
• Camera: used only when you select “Scan (camera)”.
• Device identifier (anonymous): used to manage free limits (e.g., export count) and prevent abuse.
• Purchase/subscription data: basic subscription status from the store/payment provider (e.g., Google Play).

Purposes

• Provide app features (editing/redacting/export).
• Manage free tier and unlock premium features.
• Improve stability and safety (fraud/abuse prevention).

Storage

• Temporary files are handled locally.
• Device ID and export counts may be stored in a cloud service (e.g., Firebase) when required.

Sharing

We do not sell data. We may use service providers (e.g., Firebase, Google Play, RevenueCat) solely to power app functionality and billing.

Permissions

• Camera: capture images for redaction/scanning — requested only when you use it.
• Photos/Media: import images and save/export results.

Security

We apply reasonable measures; however, no method is 100% secure.

Your rights

You can remove local files in the app. For questions/requests (e.g., deletion of data tied to the anonymous device ID), contact us.
